Many years ago, this was one of my favorite pictures. I’ve changed a lot since then, but I think I need to explore like this again to stay fresh.
Headshot of my friend Anisa. It’s getting harder and harder to get this quality of light in my studio as summer approaches. Well, the winners of the Photobloggies are in and I’ve lost another one. Really, it’s not that big of a deal, but I always seem to lose these things to blogs that don’t seem to fit into the same category as me. Congrats to the Best Studio Photography Blog 900000.
My friend TL Forsberg was the fashion stylist on this job that I shot for a jewelry manufacturer. Why am I talking about her instead of the model? Well, I happened to recommend TL for an audition a while back and she got the job. You can see her in the upcoming VH1 reality show Supergroup. The show starts this Sunday night at 10PM on VH1 and TL will be in three of the seven episodes, starting with the second or third. Please check it out and watch her as she tries to get Ted Nugent to stop wearing dead animals and tries to get Sebastian Bach to cut his hair. If you’ve seen the long version of the commercial, you’ve see her proclaim “This is Rock Star HELL.”

One more thing. Remember the episode of “Friends” where Joey is looking for a hot roommate? Well, Brooke was the potential roommate. She was also in the movie Monkeybone.
I’ve posted an out take from this shoot here before, but this was the image that was actually on the cover of Dayspa Magazine we shot that day. I didn’t like the retouching that the magazine did on this one, so I had it done over for my beauty book.
I had posted this picture on my old blog over a year ago, but because of the format, I had cropped it square. Well, this is much more like it. Chris cuts my hair (he’s a hairstylist, not a magician). The “solarization” effect here is done by exposing a Polaroid Type 55 negative to flash before it’s done processing. That’s how you let the evil in. 🙂
Becky is a makeup artist that happens to love Social Distortion so much that she has numerous tattoo’s to prove it. This is the second portrait I’ve posted from this session.
Well, it’s not all pretty women around here. I shot this for a magazine called Medesthetics. Dr. Berger here is at the helm of the computer that controls the laser he uses on his patient’s skin. Let yourself age people. You’re not fooling anyone. 🙂

Bennett Marshall Ayola. Born April 24, 2006 at 2:08 PM. 7lbs. 8oz. 19.25 inches long. I haven’t slept more than a few minutes straight since Saturday night. I’m going to sleep. I’ll shoot some better baby pix when I don’t feel hung over from sleep depravation. 🙂
