Marisa

I shot this portrait of Marisa yesterday after our Dayspa cover shoot. I teased her all day because she pronounces her own name wrong. She pronounces it like Marissa even though she spells it with only one s. Aaaaanyway, The cover we shot is going to look beautiful. I can’t wait to post it here. Also, keep an eye out for Marisa as case holder #18 on Deal or no Deal and when the Reno 911 movie comes out.

Belky Nude

I may be a couple days too late, but I figured since Michael over at Art Nudes did a post on me, that I should post another nude here. I have some ideas that I want to work on for some more nudes in the future, but this will have to do for now. This is my old friend Belky, pre-augmentation. 🙂

Yun Choi

Yun was a model in a recent magazine cover shoot. I asked him the day before the shoot if he wore glasses and if he did, would he bring them. Yun does not wear glasses, but he bought a nice pair because he is often asked to wear glasses for jobs.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone… Oh, and I’ve been saying that for many years, way before it was considered amo in the war on Christmas. Whatever it is that you celebrate this time of year, I hope it’s full of fun.

Self

I needed a self portrait on polaroid film for my profile on the polanoid.net web site so I did this rather quick like in the mirror of my makeup counter. You can see the original way I posted it at the link above. Anyway, you will find a few things in the picture that tell you how much of a dork I am.

Jennifer

Dayspa magazine cover shot of Jennifer. We shot this on location at Le Petite Retreat in Los Angeles. This was an exercise in thinking on our feet. After shooting many frames, I noticed on the computer that there was a weird flair on the shot right around her dark hair. It was just subtle enough that I couldn’t see it on the camera’s LCD. After a little investigation, I found there was a smudge on the lens! We quickly looked through the shots to see what were the best poses and re-shot just those. All worked out, but it was a stressful few minutes.

Burke Daniel

Makeup artist Burke Daniel. I used Burke for a few jobs a while back and shot this portrait of him at the end of one of those shoots. It’s from the archived old site which I’ve been a little slack at getting over to this blog. More archive stuff to come. This picture is in my main printed portfolios, by the way.

Eva La Rue

I shot Eva La Rue of CSI: Miami a few months back. Those are real diamonds embedded into her nails, the story was about the nails. I’m hoping to shoot with her again soon. She was one of the sweetest and most humble celebrities I’ve ever worked with. My favorite quote from her that day. “I’ve never been that great at math… I have to take my top off to count to two.”

Rodger as Jesus

My friend Rodger is in the hospital right now with a ruptured appendix. Ouch! I was thinking of him, so I thought I’d post this picture I took of him when he was preparing for his role as Jesus in the Passion Play last year. Get well Rodger!
