Burke Daniel

Makeup artist Burke Daniel. I used Burke for a few jobs a while back and shot this portrait of him at the end of one of those shoots. It’s from the archived old site which I’ve been a little slack at getting over to this blog. More archive stuff to come. This picture is in my main printed portfolios, by the way.

model: Burke Daniel
makeup/hair: Burke Daniel
camera/film: Horseman LX 4×5. Schneider 360mm 6.8 Symmar S. Polaroid Type 55.
lighting: Hmmm… I don’t remember what I did on this. I think it’s a basic 20 inch reflector with diffusion on a Speedo head. The mottled effect is caused by letting the Polaroid chemistry dry and crystalize on the negative emulsion. It was also flash solarized right after pulling the film from the holder.
