If you’ve been visiting my blog for a long time, you might remember this image, as I’ve posted it before. The reason is that I’m donating an 11×11 print to be auctioned off in the Flickr Katrina Relief Auction and I wanted to let everyone know. It’s really a great opportunity to find some great art for your wall and help the people of the Gulf Coast at the same time. Stop by the auction page linked above and see how it works. You can also go directly to the bidding thread for this image HERE.
model: John Paul Durrer
camera/film: Hasselblad ELM, 150mm. Kodak T-Max 100
lighting: One head with a grid spot.
darkroom: The effect on this print was accomplished in the darkroom using a thick clear sheet of plastic sandwiched between the photographic paper and a sheet of glass during exposure. The image was “toned” in Photoshop.
