Rachel

This was a personal shot taken after a cover shoot for a magazine. The magazine cover shot was retouched so heavily that it looks like a different person. I personally liked her strong features especially her nose.

lighting: Below is a piece of plexi-glass with a soft box underneath. There’s a Speedotron head with 11″refletor covered with diffusion as the main light (see shadow under nose). There are two heads on either side with grid spots aimed at the sides of the face. These two lights are just out of frame behind the model pointed back towards the camera.
