I’ve shot Erin a couple times. She’s an awesome nude art model that now lives in England. She made a recent visit to California so we hooked up to shoot some pictures of her and her new husband, also a photographer. What a great couple of people to hang out with for the day. No makeup except for a tiny bit of mascara.

To the archives! This was shot a while back, but I wanted it in the blog archive as a good example of some of my straight beauty images. This was shot for Classified Cosmetics, the inventors of spray on foundation in a can. Although most of the makeup artists I know use this product on faces, it’s mainly known for body makeup for the uninitiated.

I’ve shot Tashia a few times now. This was the first time I shot her when one of my assistants used my studio to shoot a small job and she was the model. I asked if I could do a portrait when they were done. She stayed in the bikini she was in for the job and i just stood her against my black wall and put a hot light on her. It’s very simple, but I kinda like the juxtaposition of beach girl in a bikini on black in stark light. When I asked her not to smile, she said her mom calls this her “duh face.” 🙂

We used Jessyca for an automotive company ad. She was very helpful in helping us find a second girl we needed too. Fun person all around. She seemed a little baffled at my insistence that she not smile for her portrait. She says that her smiling is what she is. I’m not so hip on smiley portraits except for when I shoot my kids, and even then…
