Kristin

This is the cover shot I did of Kristin for Dayspa. It’s the job I was shooting the day I did THIS PORTRAIT. The image was shot to illustrate a story called “Seeing the Light” which is about full spectrum light therapy.

Celeste

This is Celeste Thorson. I wish I would have had more time with her when she was here for a Nailpro cover shoot. We did some quick shots with the same light I used for the cover, but I didn’t really get a chance to do something creative. I did shoot a couple Polaroid 55’s, but they’re not my favorites.

Michael

Wow, this is an old shot. I shot this somewhere around 89-90. I tried to find the envelope, but misplaced it when I got the negs out to scan them a few months back. Aaaanyway, this was originally shot on transparency film and cross processed, but has always been a black and white print in my book (well, when it’s actually been in my book). I just recently had the resulting negative scanned and liked the colors in it, so it’s color for the first time.

Desiree

People Wearing Glasses. Desiree was the model for a recent Dayspa cover shoot. It’s not my favorite from this series, but many people seem to love this one.

Private Brian

My nephew Brian is on his way to Fort Bragg on Wednesday to start his stint in the US Army. Wish him the best. He’s got enough Bad Religion, Pennywise, AFI, Anti-Flag, Adolescents, Black Flag, Dead Kennedy’s, Descendents, Ten Foot Pole, Distillers, Ministry, Fear, NoFX, and System of a Down on his new iPod to keep him confused politically for a long time. 🙂

Lindy Gamble

I’ve been searching my old archives for images to post here in my attempt to make this archive a fuller representation of what I’ve done. I can’t believe I have never posted an un-cropped version of this shot. It’s one of my all time favorites despite how uncomfortable it makes me to look at it. I think it’s the fact that I hate when anything gets near my eyes. I could never wear contacts.

Ingrid 5

Here’s another one from the large group of Polaroid 55 scans I did recently. I shot this about a year ago and I’ve posted images from the same shoot here before. People seem to love my pictures of Ingrid. I think this is the last one unless I shoot with her again.

Kirk Douglas

Please bare with me while I add another image from my old blog. I told myself here that I was going to try to get all the old images up here eventually, but I’ve dropped the ball. I know you’d rather see new stuff, but… 🙂 Oh, this was shot in Kirk’s backyard in Beverly Hills. On the side of his house he has a sidewalk where many of his famous friends have signed their name in the cement. Very cool.

Nikki Flux Nude

Here’s a Polaroid Type 55 of Nikki that I shot the same day as the other image I posted. I don’t post nudes here often, so I hope I don’t get anyone in trouble who happens to be looking at work. 🙂

Doug Reid

An unusual day of shooting outside for me. This was a Dayspa Magazine cover shot in the publisher’s backyard. Both shots we did were with Doug’s eyes closed so when we finally did some extra shots at the end, he could barely open his eyes. Models work much harder than most people think, but I have to admit that Doug had it pretty easy that day.
