I'm trying to figure out the positioning of the Octabank?

Well done...I expect no less!

Simply beautiful! I love this portrait!

Thanks guys.

The Octa is at about a 45° angle pointed down at the model and is only a couple feet away from her. I'm back a few more feet shooting right under it. as a matter of fact, on a couple frames you can see the bottom of it because I'm trying to get it as low as possible in relation to the camera. She is standing in a corner that I "coved" horizontally with brown seamless.

The stylist did a great job! LOL
Seriously, looking again at your picture, I was asking myself what makes your shot that good. It's a great pic, but the necklace makes it outstanding. It gives it the extra kick needed to make it stand out. Did you try several different "outfits"? It would also be very interesting to compare the pictures you guys did from the same model. Anything online?

OK.....OK....now I've got the jist of it.
That's really nice Brooks! Was this for a commercial job, or simply one for your "book"?

you need to eat

Thanks Wayne, but I'm a 200 lbs middle aged man. I'm not sure what makes you think I don't eat.

Oh, man. I just went over to my buddy Wayne's blog and read a little. What a piece of work this guy is. Why do most born again christians have to be so judgmental? Must be that part in the bible that says, "Judge everyone because you are perfect." I love that part. Wayne. You are a piece of shit. How's that for a judgement?

Posted by Brooks at October 4, 2007 09:37 PM

You are absolutly right. I had no reason to make that comment. I thought the picture of the thin lady was you, but that makes my comment even worse. Sorrry folks, I'll do better with my judgemental attitude. It's a problem I'm working on.

PS, Hey buddy, I am middle aged and 220 pounds. So your right, I'll shut-my-mouth.

How is it possible that you could think a picture on a photographer's blog of a model with a full description of the shoot would be of the photographer?

Reading is fundamental. All you had to read was the title of the blog and the name of the subject.

It also figures that you're so afraid to be found out that you wouldn't accept my comment on your own blog. Coward.

So I screwed up, get over it. And so I forgot to approve your little commit on my blog. I went back and fixed it. I've tried to apologize for my wrong.
But you want let it go so I will.
I had planed on doing a post on my blog discussing my mistake and what I learned from you. I may think twice now.

Great out! You're so full of shit, your eyes are brown. I'll get over it on my time, not yours. Hypocrite. Christians are so good, yet they feel the need to bash a model because they feel (from a shot that doesn't even show their body) that they are too thin. I'm having a hard time believing that this was the first or last time you passed your uneducated judgement on people you know nothing about and that I somehow showed you the light. Puuuleeeze!

Gorgeous head shot. As always, I'm truly enjoying to see your work... but what has happened? You haven't posted in a while!

LOL!! I have to laugh at the Wayne character. Obviously, he has no clue about me nor my genetic make-up. Wayne is one of the reasons my license plate cover states "You! Out of the gene pool!"

striking shot!

people will always say what they want
sometimes they censor themselves, sometimes they vomit what's in their guts (and sometimes have to eat back the vomit)

either way, you can't afford to let them get to you

i'm sure by now you've gotten over the incident
